The Horizon Europe WIDERA TALENTS call

The Horizon Europe WIDERA TALENTS call for proposal closed in September 2024 provides an opportunity for the Europe's Widening countries (Georgia is one of them) to improve the innovation capacities and enable cross-sector careers for young researchers.

The consortium led by GTU together with TSU, Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation, Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency, Georgian AI Association, several innovative companies, ICARTI and leading European research and innovation players submitted the joint project proposal FORGE-AI (FOsteRing innovation culture to boost careers of new generation of Georgian Artificial Intelligence researchers).

Among other activities, the proposal includes the development and delivery of the training programme  for young AI researchers, research managers and innovators building the set of relevant innovation skills. It is planned that the graduates of this programme will receive micro-credentials designed on the basis of approach developed within Micro-GEAR.
