Micro-GEAR Workshop on Blockchain and Digital Credentials: 15 December 2025

Within the framework of the Micro-GEAR Project, a workshop on Blockchain Technology and Infrastructure for Granting Digital Credentials was held in Madrid, Spain.

The event was hosted by Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) and the programme included expert presentations on blockchain-based digital credentials, with a special focus on legal aspects, reliability, governance and protection of rights  as well as in-depth training on the CIMEA DiploMe CHAIN system.

The workshop concluded with a discussion on future steps, strengthening international cooperation and advancing the implementation of innovative, trustworthy micro-credential systems in higher education across the South Caucasus.
